DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Senior Advertising Analyst provides analytical support for the media, creative and strategy groups at Curiosity to contribute to measurement, reporting, performance, insights, and optimization deliverables for advertising clients. The successful candidate will be able to identify the “why” or “so what” from a myriad of different data sources and will be able to act as subject matter expert in the area of data-driven decisions for advertising investment.


  • Utilize media and client result data (sales, retention, LTV, web traffic, etc.) to calculate advertising ROI/attribution.
  • Identify data needs for modeling; validate and cleanse client data. Manage data transfer as needed.
  • Create data models to predict client results for different levels of advertising investment. Make recommendations for more effective media plans. Participate in communications planning process.
  • Support the development of new analytical and data products and services, and the enhancement of current processes and offering.
  • Understanding the client’s industries, the agency industry and Curiosity’s position within the industry.
  • Assist in developing the template for client media dashboards based on media tactics, KPIs and areas for optimizations.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to instill confidence by supporting recommendations in a professional and well-thought-out presentation and discussion.
  • Organize workload, process, and schedule in order to work quickly and efficiently on a high volume of projects, meeting tight deadlines, including quick and accurate turnaround on all initiatives and deliverables.  Knows when to delegate down or up and when to include the right people to get the work reviewed, approved or done.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related mathematical field.  Master’s level degree desired but not required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, media and/or advertising, with a focus on analysis.
  • Experience with regression, cluster analysis, data mining, multivariate testing desired but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of principles of advertising, marketing and media, particularly digital and social media.
  • Proficient in the use of excel for analytics (pivot tables, V-Lookup, data analysis) and/or R, SAS, SPSS or other statistical software. Experience with database software such as SQL or Access is desired.
  • Experienced with data visualization tools such as TapClicks, Tableau, or Google Studio.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics for reporting and analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to translate data into digestible stories.
  • Proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify errors in real-world data and reporting.
